The Holy Spirit (Who is He?)
This lesson serves as an
introduction to understanding who the Holy Spirit is and His
vital role in the life of a believer. As we embark on this
series, our primary focus is to explore what the Bible
explicitly teaches about the Holy Spirit, avoiding
speculation and personal opinions. We recognize that the
Holy Spirit is not just a force or influence, but a divine
Person—distinct yet united within the Godhead—who teaches,
guides, and instructs us through God's Word. By examining
key biblical passages, we will better understand His nature,
His characteristics, and His work in inspiring Scripture,
convicting hearts, and leading us into truth. Our aim is to
deepen our knowledge and appreciation of the Holy Spirit, so
we can respond more faithfully and and develop a closer
relationship with Him, allowing His guidance to shape our
lives according to God's perfect will.

The Work of the
Holy Spirit
Part 1 This lesson explores the
work of the Holy Spirit, highlighting what He has done—from
creation to guiding prophets and Christ’s ministry—and His
ongoing presence in believers today. Emphasizing Scripture as
our guide, we focus on how the Spirit inspires, instructs, and
dwells within us through the Word of God, guiding us in our
spiritual growth and service to God. |

The Work of the Holy Spirit, Part 2
Today, we delve into a crucial aspect of
understanding the Holy Spirit’s work—His activity with the
apostles during the early church’s foundation. This period is
often misunderstood, leading many to misinterpret how the Spirit
continues to work in our lives today. By examining Jesus’
teachings in John 14, 15, and 16, we gain valuable insight into
the unique work of the Holy Spirit during that foundational
time. It is vital to recognize that the Spirit’s functions with
the apostles were specific to that era, guiding them to record
God's truth and empower them for their mission. As we explore
these passages, we will see how the Spirit revealed divine
truth, testified of Christ, and supported the
apostles—principles that still influence how the Spirit works
through the Scriptures today. Our goal is to understand this
important period accurately, so that we can appreciate the Holy
Spirit’s ongoing work in guiding us through God's inspired Word. |

The Baptisms of the New
Testament Baptism
is a vital aspect of the Christian life, deeply rooted in the
teachings of the New Testament. Yet, despite its importance,
there remains confusion and misunderstanding about what baptism
truly signifies and how it should be practiced. Today, we will
examine what the Bible teaches about baptism—its meaning,
significance, and the instructions given by Christ and His
apostles. By carefully studying Scripture, we can understand why
there is only one true baptism for believers today, how it fits
into God’s plan for salvation, and why obeying this command is
essential for entering into Christ’s church and receiving
forgiveness. Our goal is to align our understanding with God's
Word and respond in obedience to His divine will. |

The Gift
of the Holy Spirit
The work of the Holy Spirit was vital in
establishing the early church through miraculous signs and
gifts. Today, many wonder what the Spirit's work is now. In this
lesson, we’ll examine what the Bible says about the Spirit’s
gift during the first century and how His work has changed now
that God's full Word has been revealed. Our focus is to
understand His purpose through Scripture so we can accurately
serve Him today. |

The Direct
Operation of the Holy Spirit
Today, we will explore a common
question about the Holy Spirit’s work in our lives. Many believe
that the Spirit operates miraculously and directly on the hearts
of individuals—giving special insights, signs, or feelings that
lead to salvation—apart from the Word of God. This idea is
widespread in various religious circles, especially among those
influenced by certain doctrines like Calvinism. However, the
question we must ask ourselves is: What does the Bible actually
teach about how the Spirit works today?
Our focus is to examine Scripture carefully and understand how
the Spirit’s work is connected to God's Word. We want to see
that the Bible claims the Spirit operates through the inspired
Scriptures to convict, guide, and sanctify believers—not through
miraculous or separate operations apart from His revealed Word. |
